Help more New York State homeowners switch from fossil fuels to clean heat alternatives like air-source heat pumps. Thanks to this program, qualifying New York homeowners can receive rebates of up to $1,000 per 10,000 BTUs, making heat pump upgrades more affordable than ever. Who Qualifies for the NYS Clean Heat Program?

To be eligible for this clean heating incentive, you must:

Be a New York State resident
Be a customer of a participating utility (e.g., National Grid, Central Hudson, NYSEG, etc.)
Replace a traditional fossil fuel heating system, such as oil, propane, natural gas, or electric resistance heating
Install qualifying heat pump equipment that meets Clean Heat Program Manual standards
Work with a participating contractor, like Fred F. Collis & Sons

The program applies to both residential homes (1–4 units) and multifamily properties (5+ units).

What Can You Qualify For?
